about DONI

We are committed to holding ourselves accountable for the promises we make to our supporters, partners, staff, and most of all, children. This means looking back at our commitments, celebrating our successes and learning from any mistakes in order to do more and do better. In 2022, we directly reached nearly 48.8 million children across 116 countries around the world. We responded to 107 emergencies in 66 countries, reaching 34.4 million people including 18.8 million children. We also contributed to 129 significant changes and implementation of policy or legislation change related to the most marginalised and deprived groups of children in different countries, regions and internationally. We supported a total of 86,084 children to lead, run and participate in campaigning. We spoke out in 28 instances of child rights violations. The combined revenue of Save the Children International and Save the Children members amounted to $2.5 billion USD. Learn about how our work helped to change millions of young lives in our 2022 Trustees' Report.

We believe in a world where every child grows up healthy, safe and educated - playing, learning and looking forward to a future filled with joy and hope. But right now, Covid-19, conflict and the climate crisis are undoing decades of progress for children and their rights. Today. children are facing injustice. 1 billion children don’t have basic healthcare. 1 billion children live in deep poverty. 450 million children are not learning. 400 million children grow up in conflict. Our 2022-24 Global Strategy is about disrupting the negative trend and challenging the status quo to accelerate and amplify impact with children. It is about repairing the broken and unequal systems that are hurting children today and building new solutions to last a lifetime.
